Following our successful Masterclass at the Retail Fraud 2011 event in April, we are presenting another at Retail Fraud on The Road in Leicester on Thursday October 6th.

This event promises to showcase retailer case studies alongside market insights and expertise from across the fraud and loss prevention community. Check out the agenda here and more information on the Masterclasses here.

Our session, entitled “Goods Lost in Transit: an unavoidable cost of distance selling or customers behaving badly?” will include findings from our sector-wide benchmarking research study, conducted in partnership with IMRG. Chris Haighton, Carriage Director at Shop Direct Group, will share the insights they revealed about their customers thanks to having a complete view of all transactions, claims and deliveries.

Chris will show how this data has helped them to:

•  Reduce operational costs

•  Reduce claim frequency

•  Identify fraudster MO

•  Reduce losses

•  Reduce exposure to fraud risk

•  Enhance the customer experience for genuine claimants

This session will be essential for any organisation with a significant mail order or ecommerce business, particularly those that don’t perceive thay are losing money through goods lost in transit claims. The findings from our research along with the front-line experiences discussed in the session will provide delegates with a top-line view of claims frequency across the retail sector, a view of where the claims come from, how to prevent them and how to stop customers abusing your fulfilment process.
